Temple History
This temple has an history associated with how it was built. It has to be noted that this temple went through many critical times and still stands tall and strong against all odds.

The Managing Trustee Mr. S. Ramachandran, came to this area (Gowrivakkam) in 1990. During that time there was no hindu temple in this area. So he thought of building a temple. A committee with 5 members was formed to make this dream into reality. One day Ramachandran received a small photo of Lord Panchamuga Anjaneyar as a prasadam from a person. So he considered this as a calling and planned to build a temple for Anjaneyar.

The committee members visited mahabalipuram and asked a sculpture to sculpt Panchamuga Anjaneyar. This Anjaneyar differs from other Panchamuga Anjaneyar because the five heads are front facing. When the main deity was sculpted they bought it and allocated a small portion of his home for the Lord. Later he bullt a temple besides his home.

While they were digging the sand for constructing the temple, they found a Silver coin engraved with Anjaneyar figure in that place. This even became clear that God has chosen that place. On 6th April 2003 the kumbabishekam was performed in a grand manner. Since there should not be a temple without Lord Vinayagar, they installed Varasiddhi Vinayagar and performed kumbabishekam together. Similarly the Rajagopuram was erected on 8th April 2009 successfully.

Today the committee consists of 11 Members with:
  • Mr. S. Ramachandran as Managing Trustee
  • Mr. Krishnamoorthy as Secretary
